General Information
Our program aims to train analytical and qualified intermediate staff who have the knowledge and skills required by the business world in the field of electronic communication and vocational and technical education at international standards. It provides a contemporary educational environment for the training of staff suitable for this purpose. Graduates of this program will contribute to the accumulation of knowledge and development activities in our country in the field of electronic communication.
Şırnak University Cizre Vocational School Electronic Communication Program will accept 30 students for the 2019-2020 academic year with the TYT score in the YKS exam conducted by ÖSYM.
In the first year of the program, students will gain the necessary knowledge and skills in electronic communication by taking courses on computer programs related to circuit analysis, digital electronics and measurement technique, and then courses such as digital communication, telephone communication, fiber optic and satellite communication.
Our program was established in 2014 within Şırnak University. Daytime education is provided in the program. As of 2019, there are 3 lecturers working in the department.
General Purpose of the Program
The Vocational School Electronic Communications Program aims to train analytical and qualified intermediate staff who have the knowledge and skills required by the industry in electronic communications and vocational and technical education at international standards. It provides a contemporary educational environment for the training of staff suitable for this purpose. Graduates of this program will contribute to the accumulation of knowledge and development activities in our country in the field of electronic communications.
In the first year of the program, students will take courses on analog and digital electronics, computer hardware, and later on microprocessors, digital communications, telephone communications, fiber optics and satellite communications, and will gain the necessary knowledge and skills in electronic communications.
General Objectives of the Program
The electronics and automation sector is one of the top priority sectors in our country in terms of innovation and educational needs. Electronic communications have been developing rapidly in recent years, from individual communications to mass communications, in the industrial and commercial fields, in the advertising sector and in the education sector. The spread of electronic communications with new technologies has increased the need for quality labor. The Electronic Communication Technology Program aims to train highly qualified, talented, analytical thinking intermediate human resources needed in electronic communication technologies in social life and the business world.
Fields of Work
Professional staff can easily find jobs in private and public institutions operating in the production, installation, maintenance and repair of communication devices. The increasing number of state and private television channels, Türk Telekom, Armed Forces, and private telecommunication companies' need for intermediate staff increases the chances of finding a job for people in this profession. In addition, there is the opportunity to open their own workplace related to their profession.
Opportunities to Complete Vocational Education
Those who successfully complete the Electronic Communication associate degree program can vertically transfer to one of the four-year undergraduate programs in the following fields if they are successful in the exam opened by ÖSYM.
